Santa Hat Brownies

I was on Pinterest and “pinned” THESE Santa Hat Brownies from LuxeFinds.  HOW STINKIN’ CUTE!  I just KNEW that I had to make them.

I’d say that they turned out GREAT!

NOW…the original recipe called for me to actually MAKE the brownies and to make Mascarpone Buttercream icing (I dont’ even know what mascarpone cheese is)….SO, here’s the SUPER EASY  way to make these cute Santa Hat Brownies:

Ingredients Needed:

  • Brownies (make them OR buy them already made)
  • Strawberries
  • Vanilla icing (make your own if you like, we’re going for fast & easy in my house)
Wash your strawberries and cut them straight across on the bottoms (so they sit upright  on top of the brownie).
NOW…if you can’t “FIND” your cake decorating bags and tips….no worries.  Just pull out a freezer bag or plastic sandwich bag, cut a hole in the bottom, and add your icing.
Just squeeze a little dab of icing on the brownie (or a big dab if you want to make sure it stays put!)
Now…just set your strawberry right on top of the brownie (on that dab of icing).
Now…using your icing bag, go around the outside of the strawberry and then put a little dab on top.
THAT’S it!
These were SO easy to make.  I made this plate of 12 to give to a friend last night in about 5 minutes.
I added a lid and a simple ribbon.  PERFECT~
My husband had an idea to make these on top of oreos to make them EVEN easier and cheaper.  (I’ll have to think about that one).
SO…if you’re looking for a FAST, simple, and UBER cute gift….here you go!
