Reading is ONE thing I LOVE to do with my boys (although, Isaac has little patience for books). A few days ago, I was cleaning up the living room, and noticed that Eli had four Christmas books out on the couch. MELT MY HEART….he was reading them by himself….just for fun (I love that kiddo).

My favorite is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. I love reading it to my niece…when she lets me :}
My favorite is “The Night Before Christmas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” my kids love reading books so they enjoy reading these also.

So I have to take my son to the library for some research & guess what books ill look for to read to my little one Some of these I haven’t read yet But I wouldn’t mind checking them out Since they’re your faves

Thanks for this great list. One of my advent activities is to read a Christmas book around the tree. This gives me some great ideas!

Great list of Christmas books some of which I now read to my grandchildren which they love. My favorite is The Night Before Christmas by Tim Burton which we read every year and the children take turns acting out parts of the story.
All of those books are also my favorites and they are classics

When I was a kid, the Polar Express was always my favorite. These are some great choices…Grinch is also a classic

Also… not a “children’s book” per se… a tradition we had when i was growing up, mom and dad would read Van Dyke’s “The Other Wiseman” every Christmas Eve. Wonderful story, for any of you that have not experienced it.
I remember reading some of these myself.
Read most of them in my childhood. Lovely stories.
I loved reading the Night Before Christmas during the holidays. It made Christmas feel so magical when I was a kid.

I was looking for a good Christmas book to read to my daughter with the holiday coming up. I wasn’t too sure of any other good ones besides The Grinch…this definitely gave me some great ideas, thank you!!
I love Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas! Harry Potter always really reminds me of Christmas though it’s not specifically a Christmas book.

Every year we read The night before christmas and now our two year old grand daughter wants to know why the mice are stirring. Too cute.

This year my boys spent a lot of time reading Berenstein Bears Meet Santa Bear and Llama Llama Holiday Drama but I must say I’ve never seen several of these books on your list and I think I have to have them!!

My kiddos love the Polar Express, but maybe that’s because they love the movie also. Reading is so important to children, especially even more so now with all the techy stuff they use.
Thank you for putting all these wonderful books on your post. They bring back so many fond memories when my sister’s and I were little.I haven’t seen Yes Virginia There Is A Santa Claus in so long. It brought happy tears to my eyes.I love T’was The Night Before Christmas, I read that to my 4 yr old neice this yr. These are definitely my fave books also.
