My TOP TEN Favorite Children’s Christmas Books

Reading is ONE thing I LOVE to do with my boys (although, Isaac has little patience for books).  A few days ago, I was cleaning up the living room, and noticed that Eli had four Christmas books out on the couch.  MELT MY HEART….he was reading them by himself….just for fun (I love that kiddo).

SO…I thought I’d take a moment and share with you MY Family’s TOP TEN Children’s Christmas Books:

    My favorite is “The Night Before Christmas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” my kids love reading books so they enjoy reading these also.

    I definitely love the Polar Express, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I’m a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fan, I didn’t know there was a book! I’m going to have to get it! Thanks so much for sharing!

    Great list of Christmas books some of which I now read to my grandchildren which they love. My favorite is The Night Before Christmas by Tim Burton which we read every year and the children take turns acting out parts of the story.

    When I was a kid, the Polar Express was always my favorite. These are some great choices…Grinch is also a classic :)

    The Christmas Oranges is a great book…

    Also… not a “children’s book” per se… a tradition we had when i was growing up, mom and dad would read Van Dyke’s “The Other Wiseman” every Christmas Eve. Wonderful story, for any of you that have not experienced it.

    I love Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas! Harry Potter always really reminds me of Christmas though it’s not specifically a Christmas book.

    This year my boys spent a lot of time reading Berenstein Bears Meet Santa Bear and Llama Llama Holiday Drama but I must say I’ve never seen several of these books on your list and I think I have to have them!!

    I love your top favorites, they are all such wonderful books. My favorite is still The Night Before Christmas..:)
    My kiddos love the Polar Express, but maybe that’s because they love the movie also. Reading is so important to children, especially even more so now with all the techy stuff they use.

    Thank you for putting all these wonderful books on your post. They bring back so many fond memories when my sister’s and I were little.I haven’t seen Yes Virginia There Is A Santa Claus in so long. It brought happy tears to my eyes.I love T’was The Night Before Christmas, I read that to my 4 yr old neice this yr. These are definitely my fave books also.
