Three boys, one dog, one chinchilla…Sometimes, you just have to STOP…and Count To Ten.

Do you remember a few days ago when I went shopping for Katie (our dog) at Walmart?  I snagged a few dog treats and toys for her for a belated (and well deserved) gift basket. (our whole shopping trip can be seen HERE)

Here’s the Princess herself:

Well, I got my CRAFT-ON and check out what I made for our Princess Katie:

Oh YES I did.

Now…let me tell you about what’s in this CUTEST-EVER gift basket-that-converts-to-a-super-fluffy-dog-bed:

Pup-Peroni Treats

Milk-Bone® Dog Biscuits (the mini ones)

cbd oil for dogs with arthritis

Milo’s Kitchen Treats

Green squeaky toy

Silly blue dog toy

Small tennis balls

Rope for tug-of-war (her most favorite game EVER)

While I was in Wal-mart….there were just SO many options to choose from.  SO many dog treat choices, and so many toys to choose from and there are even options online at sites like so you can even easier access to them from any computer with Internet.  These are her favorite treats and I’ve already told you that she doesn’t have many toys…so, this really is a treat for her.

After a little “sniffing” around her goodies….I gave in and opened up the treats:

Katie loved her treats….and her toys…

Now, would you like to know HOW to make that Princess inspired gift basket?

You’ll need:

A Basket (with low sides if you want your dog to be able to use it as a bed also)

Tulle (for all the ruffles around it)

Embellishments (I used felt flowers, rhinestones, ribbons)

Glue Gun (the BEST thing EVER)

First….you’ll need to ruffle your tulle.  (Now, I have a ruffle attachment on my sewing machine.  If you don’t have one, it’s ok.  All you do is pull a needle and thread in and out and “gather” the tulle until you get your desired ruffles.  IF you don’t even like that…just take the tulle, gather a bit, and glue it onto the basket…gather another small section, glue….and just repeat around the basket) As soon as she finished she took a long nap on her Bobby Bed she enjoys so much.

Next–attaching the tulle to the basket.  My basket has pretty sides, so I have TWO rows of tulle.  Starting at the lower level, just put a small amount of glue on the basket and press the fabric to it.  And…repeat, going around the basket.

Now…just add the top row (or keep going as high as you need to up the side of your basket).

When you’re finished adding the tulle….start going crazy with your flowers, rhinestones, and ribbons!  Then, fill it up with goodies and watch your doggie go CRAZY!
