Three boys, one dog, one chinchilla…Sometimes, you just have to STOP…and Count To Ten.

I’ve told you before about ChampionForKids.org and ALL the wonderful SIMPLE projects they have to help YOU help KIDS in your own area!  With the thought of helping kids in your mind…there is a SIMPLE project where YOU can help keeps kids safe.

HOW you may ask?  Well…simply download the SIMPLE Service Project Card for “Energizer Light Up a Life”.  All you have to do is help children stay safe and be prepared by putting together Care kits for kids.  You can add items such as:

  • band-aids
  • hand-wipes
  • tissues
  • flashlights
  • extra batteries
  • bottled water

The idea is to make one kit OR as many kits as you can and give these kits to schools, religious organizations, shelters, or other community organizations.

This is SUCH an awesome project to participate in.  I’ve decided to make an emergency kit for the school for disabled children here in Reno.  With winter upon us and a room full of disabled children, I’m making my kit for the classroom.  It will include all the above listed items and maybe a few more for our region and the class needs.

I’ll go shopping this week and get my kit together and check back in with you to let you know what I got and show you pictures of the school.  I hope you’ll consider participating in this SIMPLE project and can’t wait to hear what YOU put in YOUR care kit for kids!

Happy Shopping!
