Three boys, one dog, one chinchilla…Sometimes, you just have to STOP…and Count To Ten.

We have spent the last TWO weeks in North Carolina on vacation.  I can’t tell you how AWESOME it is to see my parents, brother and a sister, my cute nieces and nephew….and just lounge on the couch.  I haven’t done a DARN thing (totally said in my most Southern Accent).  Take a look at these cute faces…would you do anything but watch them all play?

After only a few minutes of outside play…the poor kiddos have sweat just dripping down their faces (and my t-shirt is stuck to me like I just went swimming–and I’m just standing there watching them!)

Time to bring the troops in the cool house and have some fun!

Since the creation of video game systems, my boys have ALWAYS carried them around.  This trip back east is NO different.  Eli packed his Playstation 3 in a carry on suitcase, and brought it to grandmas house (because you NEED it).  We pulled it out tonight and grabbed NCAA Football 12 to show the kids how to play football (and root for our favorite college team!)  Face it…there aren’t many games that a 3 year old girl to a grown man will play and enjoy!

It took a little work to get all the controllers working, kids sharing, and teams picked.  BUT, oh did they start having fun the minute the game began.

Let me just point out now, that my brother and I are ECU graduates…and we can’t stand UNC  (so, I’m totally rooting for my brother and not my poor nephew!)

This game is perfect for your Forced Family Fun nights because it allows two players, the family gets as involved as watching a “real” televised game, and there’s plenty of backseat driving from those sitting on the couch to those holding controllers!  (it’s also nice to know that you don’t have to worry about any language or blood in these games…super AWESOME in my book!)

Look…no fighting!

(worth it’s weight in gold!) OK, maybe there was a little, “run faster, turn around, you’re going the wrong way!”.

“stop telling me what to do”

“I don’t know how to play this!”

“it’s my turn”

At least there was no physical contact during the game.

NCAA Football 2012 was a success…but, I have SUPER EXCITING news about July 10th!  NCAA Football 2013 will be released and Eli is SO excited.  We’ll be at Walmart as soon as we wake up I fear (I just hope he has not spent all his allowance by next week!)

The new NCAA Football 2013 will have more enhanced features like:

Heisman Challenge—Win it for your school as you play as one of 10 former Heisman Trophy winners under center, in the backfield, or split wide, see if you can utilize his legendary skills for your favorite college team in a quest to match his award-winning historical performances and win the Heisman Trophy once again.   Choose from the following former Heisman greats:
·         Robert Griffin III
·         Doug Flutie
·         Herschel Walker
·         Marcus Allen
·         Charlie Ward
·         Barry Sanders
·         Desmond Howard
·         Eddie George
·         Carson Palmer
·         Andre Ware

An All-New Passing Game—A revolutionary passing system brings added authenticity to the Quarterback position from ball trajectory to play action pass to the option. Enhanced receiver control puts you in position to make a play on the ball and new read and react defensive coverage delivers greater realism on the gridiron.

Reaction Time—Great players see and feel the game differently. With Reaction Time, the game slows down during key moments, increasing your on-field awareness and opening up more opportunities as you sense things before they happen.

Dynamic Dynasty—Recruiting goes deeper than ever with the addition of dynamic recruiting pitches. For the first time ever, your recruiting grades can change each week based on your performance in Dynasty mode. In addition, Gameday Saturdays come to life with live studio updates and enhanced commentary by Rece Davis.

Excited yet??  Well, what about if I told you there’s a new program called “You’re Covered” where gamers will be able to upload their photo online and print a custom game cover featuring their face on the body of an NCAA Football 2013 player.  How excited would your kids be to get this new NCAA Football 2013 game with THEIR face on the cover! (this might actually make my boys KEEP their covers for once!)

Go ahead…have a Forced Family Fun Night with the kids and try NCAA Football 2012, BUT….I’ll keep you updated on the release of NCAA Football 2013 on July 10th and will also have a little GIVEAWAY right here!
