I’m VERY fortunate to have voted early last week…so, NO waiting in lines for me today!
No matter which party you’re affiliated with…get out and let your voice be heard.
I can’t wait to watch the news tonight and see the states light up in their electorial college red or blue!!!
(I do dread my day alone with my children….WHY oh WHY do they have to give them a day out of school. They could learn so much by interviewing voters, watching the machines, selling drinks to all the people waiting in lines!)
I filled out my Ballot, and sent it in the other day. First time voter here!
I finnaly got off work and voted at like 7 something
Around where I live, the election is kind of a family event. We cook a nice supper, and watch the states be colored in.
I send my inn few weeks ago
I’m anxiously awaiting the results too!!
I can’t believe how close this race is. I hope we have a result tonight.
I mailed in my ballot about a week ago. I am very fortunate that I have the opportunity to do so. Because women around the world are still denied that chance.
Virginia doesn’t have early voting
But lucky for me, I was in and out in about 10 minutes! Wore my “I voted” sticker all day proudly!
I voted today, all we can do is pray for the President and for our country to heal and that we unite.
SO GLAD ELECTION DAY IS OVER!! OUR COUNTRY IS IN GODS HANDS IS WHAT WE HAVE TO BELIEVE!!
Young children need to get involved with the voting process. It is never to young to learn.
Your kids get off of school on election day?? I’ve never heard of that, my kids and the kids now in the area don’t get off. They’ll be going to school almost into July as it is with all the days off they’ve had for the hurricane. As far as voting, this is the first time I didn’t vote. I couldn’t bring myself to be part of the total farce I think it is. There is reports of wide spread fraud from both camps and what state wouldn’t vote for the bill that would allow them to know what is in their food? I smell foul right there.
It’s so important to vote!
My parents use to take me along when they voted. Even though I couldn’t participate, I got to see how the process worked and check out the booths, etc. I am thinking of switching to the ballot from home though now that I am going to be having 2 kids to take along! lol
I voted 2 weeks before election lol in and out in 5 minutes!! I think Ill do it that way all the time.
I waited a long time to vote also! Aren’t you just glad its over? Now the nation can come together and fix this nation!
I’m late with this but thanks for posting a reminder to get out & vote! Lots of people did this year! I hope it continue to be a growing trend!
I so agree that folks need to get out and vote and should not complain if they have to wait in lines it is our privilege to do this and we should all be proud and patient to do so.
Awww, what a cute little guy you’ve got there! Voting is important, and good to teach our little ones about principled voting early in life.
A friend of mine took her oldest daughter along when she went to vote so she could explain and show her the process of voting. A good way to start the kids out so they learn that voting is important and something everyone should do. I dont see any harm in having to show ID to vote , I have to show ID for a dentist appt. !!!
Voting is so important. People just don’t get it. Was extra special this year because I went with my daughter and two neices. It was the first time any of them voted for a president. They were so proud of themselves, and I felt the pride of having them be responsible citizens.
I am glad we can now resume our regularly scheduled programming…both literally and figuratively. And I’m happy to say I had no line to vote!
I am going to try the whole voting early next presidential election! But still happy I got up and voted!
How did I miss this cute post!
He is so cute! Love when bloggers promote voting! And I voted!!!
So good to have everyone encouraging people to vote! It is so important to make it count!
Your election is really organized and fast. Unlike here at our country, its so slow and difficult. But still I’m voting for my right.
I voted by mail and I am happy about the decision I made. I am also glad this election is over. There were too many people talking about politics and quite frankly I was getting tired of it. I don’t know why so many people dislike President Obama. Makes me wonder sometime. 4 more years to make a difference and looking forward to seeing the accomplishments.
I love seeing people bring their kids to the polls.
I voted
Only the 2nd time in my life. I finally became more informed and concerned about what is going on with the world. I went on the 6th, but even though there was a line, it moved very quickly. I came home and “jokingly” told my 15 year old that it took just as long to park the truck as it did to vote. That wasn’t exactly true, but it was close.
I voted early and am still dismayed that half the people in the country do not vote. What a shame. They have no room to complain if they don’t even try. Practically everyone has a tv so they know who is running I would hope.
