Creating Memories by Making Snow Cream #ShareTheSoft #CBias
Can you believe all the snow we’ve been getting? OK, well…in northern Nevada…it’s a WEE bit chilly here!
With weather like this…I just want to snuggle in my sweatpants by the fire and watch movies…while holding down the couch and eating something yummy.
and that’s JUST what we decided to do!
After waiting for the sun to come out (along with the snow plows), I made a quick trip to Wal-mart to get a few necessities. While at Wal-mart, I discovered the MOST awesome coupon on the Kleenex® box ($4.00 Vuvu credit!) You can see my shopping trip HERE.
I WAS going to make a “BOZO Grand Prize Game” for my snotty boys to play (you know…throw your snotty tissues in the right cup to win a prize. BUT, darling hubby told me that was too gross.)
Do you know what this means?? FREE movie night!!! oh yeah!
(because it’s after Christmas…and my pocketbook is LIGHT!)
My sweet Eli has been asking about Snow Cream…how do you make it? When can we make it? How do you know if the dogs pee on the snow? What about bird poop?
SO, with a spoon and bowl in hand…we head out in search of white snow, clear of all dog pee and bird poop!
With a bowl full of snow…we head inside the house and pull out the ingredients needed to make Snow Cream!
All you need is:
There are no REAL measurements…you add to your taste. We started with about 6 cups of snow, added 2 cups of milk, 1 tsp of vanilla, and 1/4 cup of sugar…(and then tweaked it to Eli’s taste level).
Don’t worry…you can’t mess it up! If you add too much of anything, just add MORE SNOW!
Kids love nothing better than “cooking” with snow and sugar! We had SO much fun!
I think he likes it!
With the Snow Cream a success…it’s off to redeem our Vudu code that was on the Kleenex® box and FIND a movie!
(that’s a LOT easier said than done in this house!)
We FINALLY decided on a movie…Hotel Translyvania it is! (that’s such a GREAT family movie!)
Even though our movie wasn’t one that brought tears to our eyes…we SURE were glad to have our lotion Kleenex® box! With the Vudu credit, we were able to have a FREE movie night, we made magical memories making our Snow Cream, and we had tissues near just in case! (we don’t take Benadryl in this house daily for no reason!)
